The Obersee Adventure Trail is currently the largest and connecting tourism project on the upper Lake Zurich and connects the cantons of Schwyz, St. Gallen and eight communities around and across the lake. The majority of the path leads along the Obersee on the existing hiking and cycling routes, through forests and nature reserves. Along the way you will meet various characters or members of the Obersee secret society. They all tell you exciting, mysterious, surprising, sad and also funny stories. You can find out more about them at the associated experience points.
All members of the secret society guard a treasure, which is in danger of sinking into the depths of Lake Superior. They send you on a secret mission with the explorer backpack. If you manage to solve their tasks, you will be accepted into the Obersee secret society and thus become the guardian of the Obersee treasure.

There you will discover the composer Joachim Raff and the Raff Archive. In the Marina Lachen a little further ahead you can fortify yourself for the first time and purchase the explorer backpack.
Then you walk along the lake, past the Lachen pool and playgrounds towards Lachner Aahorn. The great crested grebe awaits you there on the wooden walkway. Take a look at the observation tower and enjoy the view over the wonderful Lachner Aahorn nature reserve.
We continue past the Wangen airfield through Nuolen and towards Lake Zurich Golf Park. At the parking lot, walk past the Irsslinger winery up the gravel path until you come to the Lotti Laus.
Then keep right and follow Bachtellenstrasse to the golf park clubhouse.

If you fancy a round of golf, this is the right place for you.Or would you prefer a culinary treat? Then off to the golf restaurant.On the golf park grounds there is a beautiful circular route with various themed boards, e.g. about amphibians.You can easily spend a while around the golf park. From the golf park you go over Büelgasse into Kirchenrainstrasse, under the motorway, past the church towards the main street and to the “Zentrum” bus stop.From there you can either get to Lachen train station or to Siebnen-Wangen train station.

Due to the violent storm on July 26, 2021, the footbridge at Lachner Aahorn, where the grebe's character head is located, is unfortunately not accessible at the moment. The jetty was badly damaged and unfortunately it will take some time to restore it. The tower, which is located in the same area, is accessible. There are also listening horns there for listening. Only the character head with text and image cannot currently be visited on the footbridge.
