Bicycle tour from Görlitz to Königshain
Start the tour at the shopping centre "Neißepark" and cycle along the "Kreisbahn" cycle path to Könisghain.

Start the tour at the shopping centre "Neißepark" and cycle along the "Kreisbahn" cycle path to Könisghain.
Those who are really brave should cycle (or walk) to the Hochstein and take a little break there. Via the villages Markersdorf and Pfaffendorf you will come back to the local mountain Landeskrone and cycle unhurriedly back to your starting point.
During the tour it is possible to visit different sights such as the "Dorfmuseum Markersdorf", where you can learn more about the rural way of life 100 years ago. Furthermore, it can be recommended to visit the quarries in Königshain which once was a granite mining area. In Königshain it is also possible to visit a museum which informs about the history of mining. If you walk all the way to the top, you will have a great view of the surroundings from a 22-metre-high viewing tower called "Hochstein".
Not far from the route, "Schloss Krobnitz" is located. Here you can visit the permanent exhibition "Albrecht Theodor Graf von Roon".
Leave Königshufen and cycle along the cycle path (Kreisbahn cycle path) to Königshain. This route once was a railway line, which slightly rises. Cycle down a small mountain at the end of the route, and you will reach "Bäckerei Melzer". Continue cycling along Dorfstraße to leave Königshain. Turn left into the second track.
Cycle through the forest until you reach Hauptstraße (Königshainer Straße). Cross Hauptstraße and continue cycling through the forest. Finally, you come to main road B6. Cross B6 and cycle through the village of Markersdorf. You will cycle along Lindenallee, Am Shöps and Am Mühlberg. Turn left into the track and cycle to Herrnhuter Straße where you have to turn left again. Now follow Herrnhuter Straße to Pfaffendorf and continue cycling along Hauptstraße. Turn left into Am Geudeberg and follow "Sächsische Städteroute" towards Landeskrone and Görlitz.
